Obituary.
Died near Flat, P.O., in Phelps Co. Mo., January 31, 1903. Sister Charlotte, beloved wife of Bro. I.T. Mathis, aged 52 years 2 months and 8 days.
Sister Mathis was born in Saline Co., Illinois Oct. 25th, 1850, and was a daughter o the late William and Agnes Dotson, and a sister of Eld. T.W. Dotson of Flat. She was of a family of 12 children, 7 of whom surviving.
Sept. 17th, 1871 she was united in marriage to Bro. Isaac T. Mathis and unto them were born five children, all of whom are living, four are married and one single, her grandchildren no. 7 all living.
Sister Mathis was a faithful member of the baptist church at Pleasant Grove near Flat and was one who loved her blessed Lord and Master, and loved the house of God when her health would permit and she was there. May God bless her bereaved husband and children, and the parental circle who survive.
