Notes: Directions: Located at 5239 W Florissant Ave., to the north of downtown St. Louis, MO. just off Interstate 70. From I-70 (North or South) take the 245B exit. Then turn North Kingshighway Blvd. (North/North East) to West Florissant Ave. Turn Left (North/North West) onto West Florissant Ave. The entrance to Calvary Cemetery is at the intersection of Calvary Ave.

Condition: Absolutely gorgeous. This is one of the most interesting cemeteries to visit -- in your car, because it's HUGE! Established in 1854, this is a huge Catholic cemetery, with over 317,000 interments spanning 477 acres. And bring your camera! There's many, many beautiful and unique gravestones, many of which are very extravagant. Some are statues that are several stories high. If you visit, make sure to schedule a couple of hours so that you can take it all in. There's also some gorgeous wild turkeys roaming the grounds.

Additional Info: Office hours are Mon.-Fri. 8:30AM-4:30PM, Sat. 8:30AM-12:30PM, closed Sundays and Holidays. Cemetery gates are open 365 days a year 8AM-5PM.
