    • Eva Kucharski, in an affidavit for Mary Cobus pension application for Joseph Cobus (Eva's father), declared "that Anna Cobus was the second wife of said Joseph Cobus, that said Anna Cobus was the stepmother of her this afficiant, that said Anna Cobus died in Schamokin [sic], Northumberland County, Pa. in September 1858. Afficiant further states that she was present in the room of the house where said Anna Cobus died and saw her dead body laid out for burial."
